Inca, Maya, Aztec Archaeology
Students have multiple choices in this project about which aspect of Meso-American or Andean civilization they want to reconstruct. A written description is also assigned.

The Reformation and Scientific Revolution
During the Renaissance Unit, students work in groups of three to “jigsaw” the information. Each group is assigned an aspect of the unit to summarize by creating art on the poster, writing a poem, and acting out a skit for the class. Other students take notes as each group presents.

Theme Park Attraction
Another of my projects presented at CCSS, students are asked to propose a theme park attraction based on any aspect of the European Middle Ages or Renaissance. They have to research and create a restaurant, shop, ride, or other attraction to submit to a panel for approval. Students share their work in groups and projects are selected for construction.

Roman Eulogy
In this project, students bid farewell to the Roman Empire with a eulogy mounted on a decorative tombstone. Inspired by a TCI assignment.
